Jerry Williamson

Jerry Williamson joined Flagship Ventures in 2013 and focuses on building and developing relationships with corporate partners for the firm’s VentureLabsTM projects in addition to marketing and communicating Flagship’s core innovation activities. Jerry brings more than 25 years of commercial operating and business development experience in the life science marketplace where he has held executive leadership roles responsible for value creation, growth and profitability.

Prior to joining Flagship, Jerry served as Vice President and General Manager for Molecular Devices with the responsibility of expanding growth in Emerging Markets. He was President of Global Commercial Operations for Genetix Ltd., a UK-based bioresearch imaging company that was sold to Danaher and merged with Molecular Devices. As President of Biacore, Inc., Jerry ran the North American subsidiary of this Swedish biotech instrument supplier, where he was also responsible for post-acquisition integration into GE Healthcare. Jerry was also President of Pyrosequencing Inc., the US subsidiary of a Swedish-led DNA sequencing platform provider.

Jerry received a BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of Vermont and holds an MBA degree from Boston University.
